Snow-time Tippy

Hi peeps!

Sarah and Tippy here:newtip.jpg

It's well snowy outside the H+P office today. Sadly, Laura hasn't made it in but Hannah and me are holding the fort!

Latest from Tippy's field (it's well weird not seeing her when it's snowy) is that her and Poppy are fine, munching lots of hay and just chilling out (literally!). Silly mares won't go in the field shelter but are sheltering from the worst of the snow by standing with their backsides in the hedge.

Sally said they were very impatient for their brekkie this morning as she couldn't carry buckets and hay so had to make two journeys - the girls just wanted their food NOW!

Tippy's biggest problems is the snow building up in her hooves. I've told Sally it always does no matter what you do and she ends up walking around in stilettos. All you can do is keep picking out her hooves and wait for the melt.

Back at the H+P office Hannah and I have had a snowball fight and built a snow-horse!

Not sure who won the snowball fight!

Pony spotting

Hi chums!

Laura here: newlaura.jpg

Well, you’ll be happy to know I am in a super-chilled and cheery mood. I’m full of energy and recuperated after a week's holiday in Devon. It was lovely. Whilst away, we saw a load of Exmoor ponies who live semi-wild on the moor, they were just munching at the side of the road.

Since I’ve got back there’s been yet more ponies roaming around – just down the road from the H+P offices of all places!

I was driving to work the other day when a Shetland pony stepped out on to the path next to the road. His fence to his field had come down and the cheeky little monster had squeezed himself out and was running loose! I stopped to help round him up and made a headcollar with my coat belt to hold him.

Eventually we got him back in his field out of the way of the cars. His owner came as soon as she found out and made his paddock safe again - so disaster avoided! He was super cute though, when I caught him I did wonder about taking him into the office and keeping him as an office pet!

Sunny Thailand!

Hey folks

Hannah here: hannah.jpg

I’m back in the office after 10 days in lovely Thailand – it was hot, hot, hot! It took a massive 16 hours to get there but it was well worth it! I got to try lots of Thai food (and have probably come back twice the size…), went elephant riding – it’s a lot scarier than horse riding, and went swimming in a waterfall with giant fish that sucked my toes and fingers which was really weird!

Apparently, I’ve got a good suntan, which must look a bit strange to most people seeing as we’ve had heavy snow and freezing weather here. Speaking of which I was really sensible before the flight home and put on lots of layers of clothes and packed coats in my hand luggage as I knew it would be really cold when we landed at London Heathrow. Unfortunately I totally forgot about my feet and left my flip-flops on – I got some really strange looks on the London underground and my feet were blue by the time I made it home to Norwich late that night…!
